First find a person in another version e.g FireRed LeafGreen etc. If you own the other version too this will help in both. Make sure you or they have finished the Pokemon league and have their national pokedex. Now trade your Pokemon with them. Make sure they have the first evolution Pokemon. When you trade you will find that the Pokemon that you got in the trade will earn more exp in battles. Use an exp share if you want to train two Pokemon at once or if one of them is too weak to battle. So the Pokemon will evolve faster and you will get Pokemon from other games.
