I just paid mine today....5/15/2014.....it was a 21651(b) automatically reduced by the court to a misdemeanor to a 21651(a) infraction. The judge issued me a $50 base, + $46 for each $10 of that base (that is 5 x $10 = $50, so 5 X $46) makes an additional $230 in assessment fees + $30 in court costs TOTALS $310. For an additional $64 I was granted the ability to enroll in traffic school, so I paid $374. Traffic school has a separate registration fee of about $15.
I was fined $212 in August 2009. I don't know if it varies.
