There are a few exceptions, but the majority of all 4 cylinder engines have the same firing order - 1-3-4-2
if its a 4 cylinder....1,3,4,2 if its a 6....1,6,3,5,2,4
The firing order for the 1992 Volvo 740, which typically features a 2.3L inline-4 engine, is 1-3-4-2. This means that the cylinders fire in the sequence of cylinder 1, followed by cylinder 3, then cylinder 4, and finally cylinder 2. This firing order ensures smooth engine operation and balanced power delivery. Always refer to the vehicle's service manual for specific details and diagrams related to your engine configuration.
My 1991 740 volvo turbo doesnt start specially during the morning. Is it comes with a cold start valve?
Next to AC accumulator/drier, which is in the engine bay in front of the firewall. When looking from the front, it is on the left side of the car, an aluminum cylinder approx. 4 inches in diameter.
This can not be answered, there are many "Solinoids" on this car that do many diferent things.
The engine is not running!
After searching everywhere I finally found the 1 site that does Volvo's, as I also own a 1991 740 GL Wagon with the Regina engine. This the site I had to go to http://www.vindecoder.net/. Good luck. Selina
I have had volvo's for years and have had 4 740's including the one I have now and I use nothing but Castrol 20w50 in all of them, yes even in the winter. Also I have 2 740's now with over 300,000 miles on them.
Less than 25 cents.
allows power distribution to the overdrive solenoid for overdrive engagement.
you have to take the starter out of the car and dismantle it.....it's an integral unit
