To add a link to a bike chain, you will need a chain tool. First, remove the broken link or the pin from the chain. Then, align the new link with the chain and insert the pin. Use the chain tool to push the pin into place until it is secure. Make sure the link moves freely and the chain is properly connected before riding.
To put a master link on a chain, first align the ends of the chain with the master link. Then, insert the pins of the master link into the chain ends. Use pliers to secure the clip or rivet the pins in place. Check that the master link is securely attached before using the chain.

To properly install a bike chain quick link, first align the ends of the chain and insert the quick link. Then, pull the chain tight and snap the link into place. Finally, rotate the pedals to ensure the link is securely in position.
