The first thing you should do when taking a test is-- Read the instructions!
I took a mid-term in nursing school. The preceptors passed out the tests; the class started to furiously answer the questions. I read the instructions--and did a double-take! I looked at one of the instructors, then, read the instructions again! It said, "Put your name on the line provided. Then, turn your test to the second side, sign and date it." I followed the instructions and turned in my test 2 minutes after receiving it. I was the first one to leave the room. 75% of my class FAILED that test because they did not read the instructions first. The test was designed solely to test how well we follow written directions--pretty important to do as an R.N.
