Competition with deer for their food, white turtlehead plant.
Depends, I suppose, on which checkerspot you're talking about. It's not so much competition for habitat per se for the Baltimore checkerspot, but deer are notorious browsers of the caterpillar's food plant, turtlehead, and often browse out all the plants unless they are protected. "Competition" for habitat really doesn't rate as a problem for the checkerspot species I'm familiar with.
List all the plats then draw arows to the Baltimore Chekerspot andthen draw arrows from that to "Dee" snakes and Birds. idk.... that's what i did
Here are the animals i know of: 1. White Tailed Deer- The White Tailed Deer compete with the Baltimore Butterfly for White Turtlehead because they both like to eat White Turtlehead. 2. Other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars- Other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars compete and support each other. They compete for food, shelter, space, and mates. And they support each other by producing more Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars. 3. Birds- Birds compete with the Baltimore Butterfly because the birds want other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars to eat while the Baltimore Butterfly wants other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars so they can mate with them. They both compete for other Baltimore Butterflies/Caterpillars for different Reasons.
it is this, look up www. monarchfoodchsin.com
Butterflies are herbivores and rely on plants for food. They mainly feed on nectar from flowers as adults, and as caterpillars, they consume leaves of specific host plants. In the food chain, butterflies are both consumers and prey for other animals, such as birds and spiders.
On the pro's their population will increase On the Con's the deer herd will probally decrease in population because they don't have food. Food is a limiting Factor. Hope that helped :) @itz_me_malika on instagram
The food chain of the monarch butterfly is other flowers. Monarch Butterflies live off of nectar and water. They fly from flower to flower collecting nectar.
