The four basic managerial tasks are planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Planning involves setting goals and devising strategies to achieve them. Organizing involves structuring resources and tasks to accomplish the goals. Leading involves motivating and guiding employees to work towards the goals. Controlling involves monitoring performance and making adjustments to ensure goals are being met.
