The VRO system, that came on the engine originally, varied the ratio from approximately 100:1, to 50:1. Provided you are not using the OEM injection system, a mixture to the richest ratio, 50:1, would be best. This is roughly one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
Your 1958 Johnson uses a 24 to 1 mixture.
