In a INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE,fuel is MIXED and METERED in the device CARBURETTOR.for usual normal running, its almost need a 16 fuel, to 100 air,by value, but in cold starting it need a 20, 22 fuel to 100 air by volume.more exactly, we need more fuel to a particular air volume for cold starting while mixing within the CARBURETTOR.but as engine warms up,its no need to feed RICH mixture, in to combustion chamber, so to accomplish this, we use two independent CHANNELS,to feed the fuel in to the engine.first and basic one is VENTURI DRAUGHT, is fuel is entered in to combustion chamber, because of the suction of the reciprocating PISTON.but to cold start,it employs a second channel, is CHOKE.when we operate CHOKE, an additional line is opened temporarily, thus feeds the engine more rich fuel mixture.it acts until you releases the actuating lever.when engine reaches its normal operating temperature you must release the CHOKE, if not, it will run with more fuel, and can damage all engine parts , inc spark plugs, crown of the piston, piston rings , crank bearings etc...and the FRONT BRAKE in a two wheeler is far important, as the front wheel provides more than 60% OF TOTAL STOPING POWER !!!!...so USE BOTH BRAKES SIMULTANEOUSLY..because,while we braking the entire force is shifted towards the front of the bike, in relation with NEWTON'S LAW OF MOTION..SO YOU MUST USE GOOD TYRES AT FRONT SIDE THAN REAR....a PRO ARM also increases the stability of a bike while braking....

Type your answer here... to control the flow of fuel

The function of the choke in the vehicle's engine is to reduce the amount of air flow through the carburettor , in order to draw more fuel in , to heat the engine , in turn heat the intake and carburettor, so condensation or ice doesn't form, which causes rough running and stalling.

What part of the car is the choke and how can it affect the car if its jammed on?

Older vehicles with a carburetor have a choke to aid in cold starts. The choke would be part of the carburetor. If it was to be stuck on the engine would flood and not start. Newer vehicles (mid 80's and up) are fuel injected and do not use the "choke" as such. It is done electronicly.

What is function of the choke in lamp circuit?

The function of a choke in a lamp circuit is to produce high voltage. In tubelights, the high voltage is essential for ionisation of the gas which is present in tubelights.

What is a idell sensor?

Idle Speed Sensors are a device on computerized vehicles that control the speed of the engine while the vehicle is at idle. This sensor has many different designs and names, but all basically function as the modern equivalent of your vehicle's "choke".

What is the function of the choke in a car?

In cars with a carburetor the choke is used to help start the engine when could. Engaging the choke closes a flap which reduces the amount of air in the fuel mixture when the engine is started.

It's bimetal so opens when warm releasing choke which richens mixture until warm enough to run without it.

What is the function of the choke?

A choke is an inductor. An inductor resists a change in current, by presenting a higher impedance to high frequency parts of the spectrum. A choke, then, passes DC, but does not pass high frequency AC, such as noise.

Where is the choke located on a 2000 surburban1500?

Being fuel injected and not carburetored, it doesn't have a choke. The cold start function is done electronically through the ecm and its sensors.
