What is the function of the ADH?
ADH stands for Anti diuretic hormone also known as Vasopressin.
- It is a peptide hormone that controls the re-absorption of molecules in the tubules of the kidneys by affecting the tissue's permeability.
- it also increase peripheral vascular resistance which in turn increase arterial blood pressure.
- it plays a key role in homeostasis and regulation of water,glucose and salts in the blood.
