WRONG!! a forklift is driven with a steering wheel, but the back tires direct the movement, not the front as in a car. With the back tires turning to control the turning radius, it allows you to turn literally on a dime. You can do a complete circle on a forklift without changing your center point. There are gears in the motor and engine. The tires are connected to a wheel and axle, so is the steering wheel. The actual forklift acts as a lever. The tips of the fork are actually wedges, but that is irrelavent.
