There will be no future for coal. It is an old, dangerous and polluting fuel, contributing seriously to global warming. It will soon be overtaken by clean renewable energy, bankrupting those companies that have invested in fossil fuels (coal, oil and natural gas).

Answer:

Use for purification of ores especially iron ores. Heat energy for production of electricity. Pretty much the same as coals past.
