I have a 1999 jeep wrangler and it get around 15MPG.
It is hard to determine the average gas mileage of a jeep. Generally, in city most models get between 12-16 mpg, and highway they can get 16-24 mpg.
Many things, like getting new tires, getting premium gas. basically the same for any vehicle.Premium gas will not get better gas mileage for your jeep. In fact, most cars state not to put in premium gas. All you are doing with a higher octaine is filling the pocket of the gas company. Check the back of your jeep to see how much you have in it. A heavy load of items or tools can cut MPG.The second answer is correct. Premium fuel will not increase mileage and is a total waste of money. Make sure your tires are inflated to the recommended PSI. Drive for mileage, as in slow starts and driving the speed limit. Jeeps are geared in such a way as to not get good mileage. If you wanted a vehicle that got great mileage you should have never bought a Jeep. You will never get great mileage with this vehicle so either live with it or sell it.
Jeep Commander was created in 2006.
I get 14-15 on a good day in my 2000.
They don't put a V8 in that year wrangler.
The Jeep Commander was manufactured by Chrysler.
19 mpg is about the best you will get on the highway. Way less around town.
