What is proper oil to gas ratio for a 1998 50hp Evenrude outboard
Without knowing the year, I can only tell you what is a safe mix. Fuel/Oil mix: 24:1 (87 octane gas to TC-W3 rated outboard oil), would be a safe mix. If you find that at this mix it smokes excessivly, then switch to a 32:1 mix, which is still a very safe mix.

The 50 hp Force outboard requires a 50:1 ratio, one pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel.
A 1981 model, 140 hp Johnson outboard requires a 50:1 ratio.
I have a 1984 Johnson 8 horse power outboard, what is the gas mixture?
Hi All, I just bought one of these Evinrude 2.3 outboard the chap told me the fuel is 50/5o.
I find the evenrude e tec to perform very well, and has low manatiance and good gas mileage.
A 175hp Mercury outboard requires a 50:1 fuel to oil ratio.
