What is the genetic makeup of a Puerto Rican?

Genetic test began to show in the early 2000 that the average person in Puerto Rico is tri-racial. He or she will have Taino indian, African and European ancestry. The average amounts appear to be 64% European, 21% African and 15% Taino indian. Of course there are exceptions and some persons are totally European ancestry or totally African. There has not been any Taino full blood. but individuals have been found with as high as 39% Taino quantum on the island. According to the DNA results a small number 5% of the population are bi-racial be it European and Taino or European and African.
