Professor Hammerhead's lost journal page is on top of the temple ruins. It shows the symbols used to open the underground door. To get it :
(To open the stone door, you have to spell "open" in hieroglyphics. This is the 3rd, 4th, 6th and 7th symbols from left, and then press the nose.)

Shark tooth island is when you have to to save people from a giant shark
Professor Hammerhead has become the victim of the giant shark Booga, which he was studying as part of the island legends. He is trapped on an island in Booga Bay. His journal is in the Shark Museum, but it is missing a page. The page is on top of the ruins, and reveals the meaning of the ancient hieroglyphic symbols.
You get the translation paper and go to the cave its on the top left of the cave.

There are two "keys" on Shark Tooth Island, neither of them a real "key" : 1) The "translation key" which is a page from Professor Hammerhead's journal. It shows how the ancient hieroglyphic symbols translate into English. Spelling out the word "OPEN" in these symbols will open the ruins door. The page is on the roof of the ruins. 2) The "key ingredient" is the green substance that make the shark sleping potion work. It is far to the left in the underground ruins. (see related questions)
