What is the highest level on borderlands?

The original level cap was set at 50. After the 'Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode' patch was released on April 2, 2013, that cap was raised to 61. Finally, after the 'Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack Two: Digistruct Peak Challenge' upgrade, the maximum level you are able to obtain was finalized at 72.

Some enemies can be higher due to the scaling system. Defilers on The Zombie Island of Dr Ned can spawn at lv 70. Crawmerax the Invincible will be four levels higher than the player, so can be Lv73.
