It depends on the branch. In the USAF colonels are allowed on the front lines (I think, im not completely sure) I hope this helps.
Depends on where you were. If you were a soldier, you used the "Latrine"- a word used in the US Army for bathroom. Near the front lines, that was simply a slit trench where wastes would be buried. AT the front lines, you went wherever you could.
alot because they wanted to help fight for their county too, so blacks were allowed to enter the war...and fight on the front lines.
A private is the lowest rank you canpossibly get in the war. If you were a private you would live in the unsanitary trenches and spend most of your time fighting at the front lines. Privates would have to obey everyone higher than them and most of them died, which is very sad!
First used in the 1890's as a nickname for a solider new to the front lines?
There was no true front line in the civil war, but the Potomac river was one of the "front lines"
NO!!
yes
I think the all women should fight in front lines in the war because if the women are brave to take care of their kids while their men is in the war the should they are also able to fight in the front lines in the war.

Every soldier enlisted in the US Army or any other branch of service is issued a weapon with only one exception Chaplin's (spiritual leaders or priests) which do not carry weapons. As far as being in the fight in a conventional war or on the front lines it can go all the way up to a O-7 Brigadier General but all persons enlisted into the Army have a duty to their unit and country and protect their fellow Americans against all enemies both foreign and domestic regardless of rank.

The could not fight in combat. The women in the military could learn to use guns but they could not fight in the front lines. They were also not supposed to get pregnant, esp. out of wedlock.
in lines
In WWII, on the Russian front, there were women fighter pilots, snipers, radio operators, medics but I don't think front line infantry. During the Israeli war of 1948, they were on the front lines, but I don't know what capacity.
