The Atlantic is an Ocean that reaches form the North polar regions to the South polar regions. Across this vast distance the humidity of the overlying air varies as much as anywhere else on Earth. Actually IN the Atlantic one is of cause immersed in water.
I can't really speak for all of Atlantic Canada but in Nova Scotia the humidity can get oppressive so a 33 degree day in July/August feels like a dry 45 degrees. Those extremes are rare but we did have a few of those days last year. Normals would be like 25-30 degrees feels like 30-40 with humidity.
