Since courier companies are engaged with transportation of different goods (such as documents, packages, hazardous waste materials, substances, radioactive materials, products and the like), their employees must take this training to be updated with necessary information and be trained in the area of handling those goods.
This is required as part of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act.
In summary, it is illegal to be involved and not have the required training and certification.
Their workers as well are required to get safety courses like that will make sure of the competency of the worker to work safely within the workplace.
