Plant "respiration" is the process of taking in carbon dioxide from the air and releasing oxygen, the primarily role of plants in the carbon cycle.

More specifically "cellular respiration" is a metabolic process, the reverse of photosynthesis, which is used by plants when there is no sunlight, and contributes to building structural and metabolic molecules, as well as generating heat within the plant.

What organelle in plants participates in cellular respiration what other organelle in both plants and animals is the main components for cellular respiration?

The organelle in plants that participates in cellular respiration is endoplasmic reticulum, and is also the organelle in both plants and animals, that is the main components for cellular respiration.

Why do animals require higher rate of respiration then plants?

Animals require higher rate of respiration as they move from one place to another and therefore they need more energy. There the rate of respiration in animals is than in plants. They require more enrgy.
