The Korean Peninsula is quite important because of where it is it is located between China and Japan. So if something is being shipped from Japan to China or from China to Japan (i.e. products and goods) it is possible for Korea to stop anything from getting there.

Which statement best describes an impact of geography on the history of the Korean Peninsula?

The mountainous terrain of the Korean Peninsula has historically led to regional isolation and the formation of distinct kingdoms. Additionally, the peninsula’s location between larger powers like China, Japan, and Russia has made it a strategic target for invasion and colonization. The Korean Peninsula’s coastal location has also facilitated trade and cultural exchange with neighboring regions.
