The Holy angels that stayed on God's side are sent on missions from God. Some have been messengers and some have ministered to God's people. Christians always pray to God and would never pray to an angel because angels are not God.
The birth of the Savior of the world is considered by Christians everywhere to be the central event in our world's history. Angels figured heavily in this event. The angel named Gabriel, for example, announced the births of both Jesus and his cousin, John (the Baptist). When an angel appeared to shepherds to tell of the birth itself, a "multitude of the heavenly host" (angels are assumed in this case as well) sang "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men." (Luke 2:8-16)
Christmas Angels was created in 1997.

Angels
The religion that places importance on Christmas prayers is Christianity. There are various branches of Christianity, but those that celebrate Christmas place importance on Christmas prayers.
Two Christmas carols that mention angels are "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" and "Angels We Have Heard on High." Both songs celebrate the role of angels in announcing the birth of Jesus.
The two songs are Hark the herald angels sing.. Angels we have heard on high.
