The important point of this theory are as follow:

(1) The cell are the fundamental and structural unit of life.

(2) The body of all living organisms is made up of one or more cell.

(3) New cell are produce from pre-existing cell by their division.

(4) In the cells are hereditary material is present called nucleic acid. It take part in the transfer character into forming cell.This point has been proposed by virchow.
