Some people might suggest that it was ironic of Samneric to tell Ralph of Jack's plans for him and then in turn reveal Ralph's hiding place to Jack. However it is clear that in spirit Samneric were never part of Jack's tribe. Along with Piggy they were the last of the biguns who remained loyal to Ralph. They were only on guard duty on castle rock because they had ben captured by Jack's tribe and forced to join it under torture. The next morning it appears that torture was used once more to extract the location of Ralph's planned hiding place from at least one of the twins.

What is the irony of samnerics behaviour?

The irony of Samneric's behavior lies in their initial willingness to join Jack's tribe, betraying Ralph's leadership to ensure their own safety, only to later regret their decision and try to return to Ralph's group when faced with the violence and savagery of Jack's tribe. Their loyalty proves fickle and their inability to make a firm decision ultimately leads to their downfall.

How does this kind of behavior on the part of both death and the speaker extend the irony of the first stanza of because i could not stop for death?

In "Because I could not stop for Death," the initial irony lies in the personification of Death as a kind and gentle figure, contrasting the traditional view of Death as sinister. The behavior of both Death and the speaker can extend this irony by presenting Death as a polite suitor and the speaker as accepting Death's company without realizing the finality of the journey. This irony emphasizes the inevitability of death and the calm acceptance of the speaker towards this universal truth.
