The island is actually just the arena. Each arena is actually a simulator controlled by what's called the Gamemakers, who watch everything in the arena and can make anything from a volcano explosion to a thousand-mile-long inferno
Katniss shoots an arrow into the force sheild, witch is keeping them in the arena. So the force shield blows up and then katniss is taken by one of the hover crafts and peeta and the others are taken in by the Capitol.
No, he was taken out of the games by the capitol. He is now in the capitol.
well at the start katniss and peeta still act to be in love infront of the cameras and when the quarter quell is announced katniss is really upset. When they go for interviews peeta tells the world that katniss is pregnant. In the quarter quell katniss teams up with finnick, johanna, nuts and volts. There was a plan to escape the arena and peeta got taken to the capitol, meanwhile the others apart from johanna got taken back to district thirteen. At the end Gale tells katniss there is no district twelve.

Only twelve, although when Katniss meets Bonnie and Twill in the woods, they mention that they think district thirteen is still alive and thriving underground, and Katniss starts to hope that their right. At the end of Catching Fire, Katniss is rescued from the arena, along with others, and taken to district thirteen. Gale also tells her there is no district twelve anymore. Oh sorry, that's districts. Um, there is only one capitol.
Katniss and a few other tributes (not including Peeta) are busted out of the arena by Haymitch and Plutarch Heavensbee and taken to district thirteen. Bonnie and Twill were right about it still being under ground and very much alive.

There's no resolution to the whole plot, but escaping the arena was a big resolution to being in the 75th annual Hunger Games. That made both Katniss and Peeta get out, and one of my favorite characters, Beetee ;)
http://thediscursivedaily.blogspot.com/2009/06/catching-fire-few-thoughts-spoiler.html I got an advanced reading copy, but I will not post spoilers in case you don't want to read them. Instead, i will post a website that contains the plot. (The site contains spoilers)
Katniss's sister, Prim takes after her, she has blonde hair and blue eyes. Katniss said that she was told her mother was beautiful once. Years of living in the Seam have taken away her beauty.
The first time the Avox girl is inside Katniss' room she is only reading Katniss' bed for the night. She also is given the command to take Katniss' chariot outfit to Cinna. Katniss uses this to tell the girl "sorry"; about that night and about how Gale and Katniss had not helped her. Another time the Avox girl is in Katniss' room is after Katniss' rampage. Katniss had been so angry that she had taken all her plates and smashed them around the room. The Avox girl comes in and is surprised at the mess, but helps Katniss calm down. They them spend the rest of the night cleaning up the mess. She then tucks Katniss in. This makes Katniss feel forgiven about how Gale and herself had just stood by watching the girl be taken by The Capitol. The final time the Avox girl is inside Katniss' room is after Katniss has won The Games. Katniss is confined to her bed and is struggling to get out. A door opens to reveal the Avox girl. She brings Katniss her food and answers Katniss' question as to if Peeta had survived or not. She answers her with a nod, and as she gives Katniss her spoon Katniss feels "the pressure of friendship". This is the last time Katniss sees the Avox girl until the Quarter Quell.
Peeta did not intentionally turn on Katniss in "Mockingjay," book three of the Hunger Games. He was taken in by the Capitol near the end of "Catching Fire" [second book] and, as later revealed in Mockingjay, hijacked by President Snow. Snow took memories Peeta had of Katniss and infused them with tracker jacker poison, to distort the images to make them look like Katniss was trying to hurt Peeta. After so much of this hijacking, Peeta's mind began to slowly break down as the girl he once knew turned into a monster trying to kill him. When Katniss and Peeta next meet, he believes that she is a muttation, out to get him. President Snow did all of this to him; Peeta didn't purposely turn on Katniss.
