transfer nutrients and important things to places in the cell
The rough endoplasmic reticulum is involved in protein synthesis and processing in cells. It contains ribosomes that help in the production of proteins that are then modified and transported to other parts of the cell or outside the cell.
The smooth endoplasmic reticulum (SER) is involved in lipid and steroid hormone synthesis, detoxification of drugs and toxins, and regulation of calcium levels in muscle cells. It does not have ribosomes on its surface like the rough endoplasmic reticulum (RER).
The golgi apparatus's job is to recieve vesicles (broken down proteins) from the rough endoplasmic reticulum for modification.
Its job is to transport materials throughout an animal, plant, or other cell type. (Not a Prison Cell Though)
The endoplasmic reticulum is found in most cells. It's job is to transport proteins around the cell, ensuring it's survival. It's long, and curved in shape, and are in "stacks". It's made out of stacks of membranes. It is almost shaped like a 'wifi signal'. There are two kinds of endoplasmic reticulum: smooth and rough. The rough endoplasmic reticulum appears bumpy, as it will be carrying ribosomes. Smooth endoplasmic reticulum will not appear bumpy and will carry no ribosomes.
Mainly. The rough ER; protein modification. The smooth ER; lipid manufacturing.
store and transport protein and neutrients
Smooth endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for lipid synthesis, metabolism of carbohydrates, and detoxification of drugs and toxins in the cell. It lacks ribosomes on its surface, unlike the rough endoplasmic reticulum.
Simple !An Endoplasmic Reticulum's ( ER ) main job is to transport protein in the cell.
The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is repsonible for the production of the protein and lipid components of most of the cell's organelles. The ER contains a great amount of folds - but the membrane forms a single sheet enclosing a single closed sac. This internal space is called the ER lumen. The ER is additionally responsible for moving proteins and other carbohydrates to the Golgi apparatus, to the plasma membrane, to the lysosomes, or wherever else needed. There are two types of ER - rough, which is coated with ribosomes, and smooth, which isn't.
well when a cell produces a material needed in another cell or part of body, it's the Golgi apperatus' job to ship it out to bloodstream, but within the cell it's the endoplasmic reticulum i believe
Smooth endoplasmic reticulum is not involved in protein synthesis. That is the job of the rough endoplasmic reticulum, which gets its name from the ribosomes embedded on its surface.
