You have to buy the rims from GM and the biggest size is 22'' rims more then that you will damage your Avalanches' chassis.
An 18" wheel with a low profile tire will fit well on a Mark VIII.
36"s. you will have to raise the car, then deal with being rediculed for being an idiot.
You could put on 17 inch rims if you put on lower profile tires of 205-50-17
If you were just using rims and not tires you might get away with 24". Otherwise, you can put on whatever will fit with the proper tire size..... Here's a couple of sizes... 155 80R13 (stock on most) 195 60R14 185 60R15
I would say the biggest size rims you should put on a 1994 Chrysler Fifth Avenue or a New Yorker would be 20 inch rims.

The factory size for the rims of a 1984 Cadillac DeVille is 15 inches. It is possible to put other size rims on this car but it may require modification of the car or wheel well.
