The largest gauge is " 0 ", sometimes (on rare occasions) you can go to " 00 " and still have the piercings shrink to look almost normal. Now I need to clarify these remarks with the following statement.
"If you stretch the lobes up "properly" the piercings will shrink back down to a some what normal state once the jewellery is removed, the shrinking will take time (months) and will not happen within weeks or removing the jewellery. Proper stretching involves and investment of time and patience and can not be rushed (jumping gauges and going too fast between gauges).
Proper means one gauge once every 4 weeks, this allows the tissue to stretch without being forced and tearing the tissue. Once tissue is torn it's done and the piercing will look like a cat's butt when you remove the jewellery and will always look bad.
Try buying wooden earrings, or go to a higher gauge. Yes I'm referring to stretching. Try stretching your ears to a 14 or a 12 gauge, and wear wooden earrings. It's better for your ears, natural, and much more difficult for them to heal. You could keep them in for longer and not change them as much.
If your child is gauging their ears it will heal back if they do not go past a 0'0 gauge.
I've only heard of reconstructive surgery for larger gauge ear piercings. Howver, you should look into getting your ears pierced at a larger gauge to remove the scar tissue. That way you could let them heal without the scar tissue stopping you.
the biggest size you can gauge your ears is as big as you can make it with out snapping your ear. gauge size goes from: 18,16,14,12,10,8,6,4,2,0,00,7/16,1/2,9/16,5/8,11/16,3/4,13/16,7/8,15/16,1" and so on. It is really endless in stretching, but take your time. and clinical studies have proven tat in 98% of the time your ear will heal as long as you don't stretch past double zero gauge size
they don't
Sorry but at this point it's highly unlikely. I would suggest seeing your doctor about lancing the piercings then allowing them to heal that way, it's an option.
Depending on how big you stretched your ears to, the holes will shrink down to a normal piercing size or close to it. Every person's body is different with how they heal, so it really depends on your immune system.
Remove the stud, ring or whatever and they'll heal just fine on their own eventually.
it doesnt or if it does extremly slow......like years i still have scar tissue from where i got my ears peirced and the lady messed up when i was 5
Generally, the point of 'no return' is 0g. Meaning that in most cases you can stretch to 0g, and still be able to size back down to a 'regular' sized piercing. BUT: Everybody is different, 0g is NOT the exact point, some may be able to stretch larger and still size back down, while others may not be able to size back down at 0g.
You could but it is very dangerous and painful and sometimes against the law. Even if you did, (which you really shouldn't) since she is so old her ears may not heal right or become infected. So the results may not even be worth it even if she did heal right. Do not clip her ears.
Yes it will heal
