This previous answer was incorrect. ("The legal tattoo age for the UK is sixteen with parental consent. " Some tattoo parlours may ask for proof of age as it is their parlour on the line for illegal tattooing, which is why quite a few tattoo parlours only tattoo people who are eighteen and over, and quite often the people who will tattoo sixteen year olds are quite unhygenic places that only tattoo people so young because they need the money as their parlour is an unreputable business and has hygiene issues. )

It is against the law in the UK ( including the Isle of Man) to tattoo anyone under 18 with or without parental consent unless it is for specific medical reasons. See:
