Otters are about 1-2 feet long but are mostly 1 and a half feet long. And are very, very, very smart. The build there houses out of trees that are around them. The reason why they do this is because they don't want to live in a gushing river they use there dam to block off some water at the end of the river so they have a place to live and grow. they go under water to enter there homes because when the make there dam they also build their house underwater to keep them safe from predator's.

If you mean height, on average an adult otter would be between 7 to 10 inches. If you mean length, from the tip of their nose, to the tip of their tail an average sized adult otter would be between 35- 58 inches long.
