Why it small intestine in herbivorous animals longer than carnivorous animals?

The length of small intestine depends upon the food the animals eat. If it a herbivorous animal , then it it will require a longer intestine because the cellulose content in the food takes a long time 2 be digested ....On the other hand if it is a carnivore then it will have a shorter length of small intestine as meat is easier 2 digest n it will take less time as compared to that of cellulose....

Does different kinds of food stay in stomach for different amount of time?

Yes. As amazing as the gastric acids are, they take different amounts of time to work on different types of food. The most typical example I know is meat. If the meat ingested is a steak, it will take longer to be digested than ground beef will. And there will still be other foods that will take less time and other that will take more.

What part of the alimentary canal is digested food mainly absorbed?

Food is absorbed into the body in the small intestine. By the time food reaches the small intestine, it is very broken down, and the villi lining of the small intestine can absorb the food molecules into the bloodstream.

Ya it does because the drink is digested with the food at the same time so only part of the drink is digested. Therefore it would decrease the effects.

How long does it take for energy from food to get into the bloodstream?

That would depend on the type of food. If the food is complex then it has to be digested and broken down into molecules that can be absorbed across the intestinal lining. This will take time and the process would be gradual (lasting hours). However, if the food was pure glucose no digestion would be needed and the molecule would be available in the blood in a few minutes.

Why is the length of time it takes our food to trail is very important?

The length of time food takes to travel is relative to its freshness. The longer the food takes to get from point A to point B, the less fresh it is expected to be. Also, longer length traveled food isn't as good for the environment as local food.
