What is the level of acceptability of safe male circumcision among spouses?

I would say very low except for those that have been misled about the reasoning behind it. In most of the world circumcision is seen as a marcabre and savage thing to do to a child. So when keeping in mind that circumcision is only inflicted on about 15% of the worlds children and that in the countrys where it is most prevalent women have no say in the procedure it would be very low. There is in fact no such thing as a safe circumcision> that is like saying safe amputation of healthy limbs. The result of circumcision is irreversible damage and in some cases death, In the USA more then 100 infants a year die as a result.
