What is the connection between Fermi Level and Electronic Grade Materials?

fermi level:- This is the level of energy that lies in the forbiddan gap. It is the level of energy where the concentration of electrons in conduction band is equal to the concentration of holes in valance band. Since in intrinsic semiconductor the probability of electrons in conduction band is equal to the holes in valance band therefore lies exactly in the middle of fforbiddan gap In case of extrinsic semiconductor material, that depends what sort of dopping is there. If the donar impurity is there, it will shift towards conduction band, and if there is acceptor impurity it will shift towards valance band.

What is meaning of Non-Fermi liquid?

Non-Fermi liquid (NFL) is a metallic state which deviates from Fermi liquid theory. For usual metals, temperature dependence of transport and thermodynamic quantities, such as resistivity and specific heat, obey Fermi liquid theory which predicts specific heat to have linear Temperature dependence and resistivity to T-square. But those quantities of NFL materials have strange T-dependences. This strange state happens when one suppresses transition temperature of antiferromagnetic order (T_N) to zero by applying pressure or magnetic field or doping impurities. Now many condensed matter scientists are working on how to understand this state and its mechanism. One more thing which is making this very interesting is that unconventional superconductivity (SC) happens often when a material has NFL state at temperatures above SC transition. Many scientists believe that NFL state is a prerequisite for unconventional SC.

Is Fermi Gas dangerous?

A fermi gas is a model from quantum mechanics first proposed by Fermi. A neutron star is said to be an example of a Fermi gas, and that would indeed be a dangerous place.

Effect of temperature on fermi level?

The Fermi level starts to change location when temperature reaches 300K as a room temperature and Fermi level will getting close to conduction band or valence band depending on energy band gap determines.
