My uncle is a zoo-ologist thing so here is some info he sent me hope that it helps!!! A ring-tailed lemur mother gives birth to one or two young between August and October, when the rainy season begins. Newborns ride on their mother's belly for the first two weeks, then graduate to riding on her back. It takes about two years for ring-tailed lemurs to reach adulthood. Lemurs, like most primates, are fairly long-lived. They can live for up to 35 years in captivity and up to 25 years in the wild so they perform substationally well in zoos wildlife parks etc. Good luck!

Long, striped tail is an adaptation to communication on the ground. Ring-tailed lemurs are the most ground dwelling of all lemurs and are therefore very vulnerable to attack from the fossa. If the communicated by sound, this would increase their vulnerability, so they use their long tails to signal messages silently among the group.

The ring of black fur around their eyes is supposed to reduce reflection of bright sunlight, much like eye black (grease) used by Baseball and American football players.

The woolly grey and brown fur on their back traps heat in, while the thin white fur on their face, abdomen, and inner thighs/arms allow sunlight through to the pitch-black skin underneath, allowing them to conserve energy by warming up when they sunbathe after cold nights or before the sun goes down.
