i went down to The Florida Keys and found them in a shell store. i asked the lady working there how long they live. i was told they live in captivity about 30 years.
The crab lays the egg. The egg hatches into a nymph. The nymph molts and became a bigger nymph. That nymph then molts into the adult.

The life cycle of a crab starts at an egg the they turn into the tinest of crabs then they grow into a big crab.
The Japanese spider crab is a scavenger just like all other crabs. They have 8 legs, plus two long claws for feed in the front. They usually dead animals on the ocean floor as well as shellfish. They are also known as the "dead man's crab" as they have been found feeding on drowning victims in the past. Although they are the largest crab, they are very docile despite their size.
The average life span of a spider monkey is 27 years. However, in captivity, they can live up to 50 years.

A spider begins its life in an egg sac. Once they hatch from the egg, spiders are called spiderlings. Spiderlings then molt to become adults.
