One of the adaptations of the Clydesdale is its thick coat that helps protect it from harsh winter weather. Another adaptation is the thick body they have. They are strong and well known as hard workers that can pull heavy loads.

The draft horse breeds reproduce like most other horses. An 11 month gestation period, give or take a week or so. The foal will weigh more than the lighter type breeds (average foal weighs about 90-100lbs. for saddle horses). The mare will be able to breed again in a few weeks for next years foal. If you are not a professional breeder its best to wait a year or two before breeding again.

The life cycle of an Appaloosa is no different than that of any other breed. They are born, have a short 'childhood' , a mature adulthood, they then become seniors or elderly and eventually die.

Same as any other horse. Breed makes no difference in a horse's life cycle. Just the sex/gender.
