The last answer was very incorrect. In the united States the average white male lives about 74 years. Women live about 5.5 years longer than men. Asians live a bit longer, black and Hispanics live a bit shorter due to a number of reasons.

If you are already 18 years old you are expected to live a few years more than the average life expectancy (since you already lived through your first 18 years). The longer you live the higher your life expectancy goes up.

Joining the military does decrease life expectancy due to factors such as physical and mental stress (although they do teach coping skills), accidents, and combat. In the United States women see very little combat due to military regulations.

I cannot find a solid number for you, but my best estimation is decreasing your life expectancy by 3 years.

There is no fixed life expectancy for military members after 20 to 30 years of service. Factors such as the individual's overall health, lifestyle choices, exposure to combat, and access to healthcare can all influence life expectancy. It is important to note that military service can involve certain occupational risks and stressors, which may have an impact on longevity.
