A microscope is a device that magnifies very small items so they can be seen and studied. A light microscope does this by using light passed through a slide containing whatever you are trying to look at, then through lenses and mirrors to an eyepiece.
another type of microscope is the electron microscope which passes electrons (much smaller then waves of light) through the substance to a reciever that then projects the image onto a computer screen allowing much greater levels of magnification.

they certainly can be seen
microscpe
hen was a microcope invented
electroni microscpe
To set up a microscope follow these steps:Hold the microscope by its base.Place it near a light source. (Not directly in the sun.)Adjust the mirror until light is reflected up the microscpe. (Check this by looking done the microscope.)Turn the objective lens to its lowest magnification.
The eyepiece is another name for the microscope body tube.
Optical, though to see smaller organelles and structures in higher resolution an electron microscope may be necessary.
Hooke's microscope could not see the cell of an animal cell which is a eukaryotic cell.
