Depending on your type of CMT, and the degree to which you have it, limitations vary greatly. Some people can do everything everyone else can. Others cannot. There are more than 40 different genetic causes for CMT. No one should put limitations on anyone regardless of their disability. Most people with CMT learn to pace themselves because they find that overdoing physical work or recreation can lead to severe fatigue and perhaps even, over time, an exacerbation of their CMT. Everything in moderation seems to be the key and brain over brawn works every time.
