If your standing on Passenger side under hood it is under the harmonic balancer on the right side of engine. Im not for sure but i think you have to remove the balancer to get to it. If you look on the right side of the balancer you will see the plug it pertrudes out a little bit. That's just the plug the switch is inside there. Im having to replace mine now since I broke it trying to get the Balancer off.

From Todd
The sensor is halfway down the back side of the motor down low between the transmission and the engine
its held in place with a 8mil. bolt and there is so little room to reach in to get it
The easiest way is to find someone with small hands to reach it.
the only other way is to remove the trans
this is a lot of work the latter so try the way i did it first
lots of luck
i replace mine and still no injectors
i will check the computer and the smart module next
Problem was as shorted injector
found it and now its running but got a air intake leak
Behind the crank pulley
could be the crank sensor, the go out. the have a reputation for that.
if it has a crankshaft sensor that's bad
side of the block, against the firewall, passenger side side of the block, against the firewall, passenger side
Yes
behind the crank pulley
You put a new crank sensor in your 92 buick and now its like its out of time?

No Crank Sensor until 1992
That year model does not have a crank sensor.
No. The engine won't run with a faulty crank sensor.
They did not use a crank sensor in 1984, There was no need for 1
