As far as classic HIT songs go, I would put my bet on "My Home's In Alabama (6:27)." It was sort of our country "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" for those who spun the records back in the early 80s. It was Alabama's first LP and late shifts always liked playing it, especially if the DJ was a smoker.
Charlie Daniels put out the 10:25 jam, "Saddle Tramp" in the late 70s, but he wasn't considered a country artist and that's a shame. Lately, you'll find Keith Urban's album cuts are quite different than the radio edits (ie "Stupid Boy" 6:02) and Kenny Chesney's number one, "The Boys of Fall" jams for 8:04 on YouTube. The album version tops 'Bama at 6:35. Stations naturally play a shorter radio edit.
The king of all country jams is the lesser known Robert Earl Keen who released "The Road Goes On Forever," a massive, energetic blast of 11:58 and worth every second.
