For non-refueled flights, the Rutan Voyager's flight around the world in 9 days, 3 minutes, and 44 seconds would be the longest to date. Flights that are refueled inflight can theoretically go on indefinitely. In 1958, for example, a Cessna with two pilots remained aloft for almost 65 days. They refueled by flying down a road in the Mojave Desert and refueling from a hose passed up by a gas truck.

There used to be many flights longer than the current longest flight in flying time but currently the longest flight by flying time is Singapore to Newark at 19 hours. With Singapore-Newark service being canceled by late 2013, the longest flight by flying time then will be the 17 hour flight between Atlanta and Johannesburg.
