There have been many conflictions as to what the legal drinking age. It all has to do with maturity, physically and mentally. The amount of time it takes to fully physically mature is 21 years. This is why USA has a drinking age is 21. But the mental maturity is totally different. The problem with alcohol is today's teenagers abusing alcohol. Mental maturity can be reached from anywhere between 16 and 28 years of age, depending on the person. Some people may never mature. Teenagers should, however, have the right to experiment. That is why the drinking age should be 16-18 for low alcoholic drinks, and older (21-25) for drinks with high alcoholic content. Health wise, to avoid brain or any other damage resulting from alcohol in later life, the drinking age should be 21, when the body is fully matured and able to cope with alcohol.

Kansas has set the age of consent at 16. That is already the lowest in the United States. I believe it is too low and should be 18 years of age, at least.

It depends from country to country. I think in the United States it is 18 as long as you own something. Such as a house. Actually, in the US there is absolutely no age limit, high or low!
