Magnetism
Yes, it is true that a magnet is an object that can exert force on another material. However, it will only exert that force if it is made out of the correct material. Items made of iron are the most common magnetic objects.
no the are not but you could take a key and make it magnetic like a screwif you have the right metal
To remain a magnet it has to be made out of steel as steel makes a permanent magnet.
A normal 1979 penny will not stick to a magnet -- it's made almost entirely of copper -- a non-magnetic material. So for your coin to stick to a magnet, it has to either be fake, or plated with some kind of magnetic material. In either case, it's value would only be as a novelty item -- perhaps a couple dollars at best.
i think this is right..........sorry if not.....i was stuck too xx a piece of soft iron used to connect the two poles of a magnet, or electro-magnet, in order to complete the circuit, or to receive and apply the magnetic force. In the ordinary horseshoe magnet, it serves to prevent the dissipation of the magnetic force so it's made of iron yeah...hope this helps dude
no they can not.
Magnetic materials are all made of iron. They carry electromagnetic waves.
magnet where not made they were discovered,900 years ago lodstone was discovered it contain special properties to attract other material such as magnetic material
The material from which the magnet is to be made is heated so that it is above what is called the curie temperature. The material is then allowed to cool in a magnetic field. The magnetic field can be made by coiling wire and passing an electric current through it.
Matches are not made of a magnetic material, so the magnet will not attract it.
Yes, you will create a temporary magnet. EX: if you put and nail next to an iron magnet, the nail will be temporarly magnetic.
If you are talking about a non-magnet item then the item will become a magnet for a period of time. Changes in heat, how much it is used, or time can disable the magnet. Magnet!
magnet which we get naturally from earth is called natural magnet e.g: lodestone.. while magnet made from magnetic material is called artificial magnet ...
Using a compass; You move the compass around the object and if the hand in the compass goes mad, then it is a magnet To test how something is magnetic: See if it sticks to a magnet. It will only be magnetic if it is made from nickle, iron or cobalt. Steel is also magnetic because it is made mostly from iron. Hope this helps x
Magnets are made by lodestone. If the magnetic qualities of lodestone are passed in a magnetic substance, then it will be a permanent magnet.

no because they are not magnetic and their not made of magnet
