I would like to suggest instead of charging for luggage that is stowed below the passengers, the better method would be to charge for carry on luggage. People would willingly pay to keep their luggage with them. As a result there would be less luggage in the passenger compartment, less potential for injury of bags falling on people, more efficient boarding, better on time departures and less hassle with home land security screening because people would bring less on the plane. I am certain that the stewards would be much happier and the passengers would also. Be an innovator and be the first to lead the way for the rest of the airlines.
