Christianity itself, is very diverse because of traditions passed down and various beliefs accepted or rejected along the nearly 2000 year course of the faith. If you are just talking about The Bible, which is the sacred text of all Christianity, one of the things that makes the Bible unique is the teaching of a single, all powerful, all knowing, and all good God, and that Jesus was his divine son that came to Earth to redeem mankind and prove a human can be completely faithful to God. Most other religions, either teach in multiple gods, multiple aspects of one god, or an abstract divine force that is missing one or more of those qualities.
Some religions teach that the divine being of good is not all powerful, but has an equal and opposite negative force.
The way the Bible portrays the personality of God, and his son Jesus, as the personification of love and self-sacrifice can also be very different from other religions. Some religions teach that the supreme god is either incapable of this kind of love, or has selfish tendencies.
The "all-knowing" aspect is also a way Christianity differs from many other religions. An all knowing god is not taught in religions that view god as being an abstract being or force. Personal struggles that individuals have are not considered to really be known by a god in many religions.
The Bible also differs from other religions considering the afterlife. Although many Christian religions have adopted the immortality of the soul, the Bible clearly says the soul actually dies. (Ezekiel 18:4) The hope for afterlife in the Bible is a resurrection of the soul, or person, at some point after a person dies. (Acts 24:15) This teaching is very different from other religions, because almost all other religions believe that there is an immortal part of a person that lives on after death.
Another way the Bible differs from other religions, is the way the current world is perceived. Most Eastern religions actually believe this world to be somewhat of an illusion, or not the true reality. Where as the Bible says the Earth was made to be inhabited, and will be inhabited forever. (Isaiah 45:18; Psalms 37:29) The theme of the Bible, is the struggle and fight to get the Earth back to the way God intended it to be.
There are several "non-Christian" beliefs; they are so different amongst one another that it's really hard to give a generic answer. I suggest you investigate individual religions, for more details.
Christians belief are based upon Jesus as the truth and salvation to heaven. All non Christian belief are based upon efforts and endeavors to gain your eternal life.
Islam began when the Prophet Muhammad received a vision from God, encouraging him to spread a divergent system of beliefs. The main difference between Christianity and Islam is that Muslims don't believe that Jesus was the son of God. However, unlike Judaism, they do believe he was a prophet divinely gifted by God. Beyond that, Muslims and Christians have many of the same central beliefs.
Very little. As far as I can tell, the only difference is that Christians believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, while Jews believe that he was not, and are still waiting for the Messiah.
because they were found be different people with different ideals, or people within a religion had different ideals so split [like between judaism and christianity].
There were several differences, but the main difference was that the ancient Romans practiced pantheism, which is the worship of many gods, while Christianity taught monotheism, which is the worship of one God. Christianity, once it got a foothold, was united in it's beliefs (at least for the most part), while the Roman beliefs were personal and adhered to no formal doctrine. There were several differences, but the main difference was that the ancient Romans practiced pantheism, which is the worship of many gods, while Christianity taught monotheism, which is the worship of one God. Semana Santa means Holy Week in Spanish. Christianity is a religion.
Even though Christians and Islamic peoples have the same god (with different names), The biggest difference between Islam and Christianity is that Christianity dictates that Jesus Christ to be the savior of all Mankind, where as Islam does not. There are also disputes over who was and was not a prophet, canonized scripture (the Koran as opposed to the Bible) and other beliefs.
Neither the Buddha nor Jesus taught any specific beliefs about the environment, as it was not an issue during their lifetimes.
Catholicism (please note spelling) is just one branch of many within Christianity.
Baptists are a sect of Christianity, not a separate religion.
