It teaches the Golden Rule for all.
"The Parable of the Wall" by Juan M. Flavier is a story that emphasizes the importance of unity and collaboration in achieving a common goal. It illustrates how working together can lead to success and how division and selfishness can hinder progress. Overall, the parable conveys a message of solidarity and teamwork.
what is the code of ethics
This parable was told in answer to two questions: what shall I do to inherit eternal life (Lke 10:25a) ? and who is my neighbour (Luke 10:29b)? Through this parable Jesus showed the true spiritual nature of Israel at that time. The robbery-victim (almost certainly a Jew) lay half dead on the road to Jericho. The Jewish priest and Levite refused to help; perhaps they feared it was a plot, or were afraid that they too might be robbed if they tarried. It was a hated Samaritan who came to the rescue, who applied first aid, who took the victim to an inn, and who made provision for his care. To the Samaritan, a Jew in need was his neighbor. Then Jesus asked the question. Which of the three proved neighbor to the helpless man? The one who showed mercy, of course. Then the one who asked the questions should go and do likewise. We can see in the priest and Levite a picture of the powerlessness of the law to help the dead sinner; the law commanded "Love your neighbor as yourself" but it did not give the power to obey. The priest and the Levite could be said to represent the nation of Israel who failed to keep God's law. Also we can identify the good Samaritan with the Lord Jesus who came to where we were, saved us from our sins, and made full provision for us from earth to heaven and through all eternity. Priests and Levites may disappoint us but the Good Samaritan never does. The story of the good Samaritan started off to answer the question "Who is my neighbor?" But it ended by posing the question "To whom do you prove yourself a neighbour?"
The Persistent Widow Luke 18: 1-8.
The main ideas in Jesus' message was "Believe in God" and everything that pertained to that.
1. The Story Parable The story parable has a beginning, middle, and an end. Each detail does not necessarily have a spiritual application, the details are there to add to the story. The story is realistic, usually making one main point Example: The parable of the lost son. (Luke 15:11-32) 2. Similitude The similitude is more like an illustration taken from everyday life. Jesus often said "The kingdom of heaven is like," in these instances He is saying that the kingdom of heaven is illustrated by the following situation. Example: Matthew 13:31 Another parable He put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field,............... And maybe 3. Allegory, Metaphor In John 10:1-16, Jesus presents Himself as the Good Shepherd. Maybe this is not strictly a parable but an extended metaphor
That which is hateful to you, do not do to others.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The main idea is acceptance.
One technique that Paine uses to emphasize his main message would be hyperbole.
the overall message is that to believe no matter what holds you back
his life sucks
