Hanukkah (another transliteration is: Chanukah) is also called the "festival of lights" and can occur as early as late November or later through December (using the Gregorian calendar). The holiday celebrates a miracle recorded in the Talmud, when one night's supply of olive oil fueled the menorah in the Temple of Jerusalem for eight days, during its re-dedication following the victory of the Maccabees over the forces of Antiochus IV.
I am pretty sure it is Hannukah, but there is a slight chance it might be Kwanza.
