Christianity and Buddhism are pretty much the only two religions in South Korea, but religion was suppressed in North Korea by Kim Jong Il, but his dad K.J.S. did allow religious freedom. Il was born in Russia and to hide that fact, they made up a myth about Il being born in Korea in magical way and it eventually led to suppression of religion, maybe Un will re-allow religion (like his grandpa.)
